The Foster Martin Band se formó en 1985 de la mano de Lyle Foster y Ray Martin. Conjuntamente han escrito todas las canciones que aparecen en sus tres CD's, además del 4º que esta a punto de salir. Foster Martin Band sale de Oakbank, cerca de Winnipeg en Canadá.
El grupo esta compuesto por Lyle Foster que toca batería, Ray Grenier, bajo y vocales, Sean Borton, guitarra y vocales, Lyle Baldwin, vocales, fiddle y guitarras Acústica / Eléctrica, mandolina, armónica y Craig Fotheringham en el teclado.
Han ganado multitud de premios, algunos son: Banda del Año (tres años), Autores del Año (5 años), Artistas del Año, (3 años) todos otorgados por la Asociación de Música Country de Manitoba (MCMA). También han sido nominados como Grabación Country del Año en los Prairie Music Awards y como Grupo Independiente del Año por Canadian Country Music Awards.
Han tocado en Equiblues Festival (St. Agreve, Francia), Country Rendez-Vous (Craponne Sur Razón, Francia) además de giras por todo Canadá y Estados Unidos. Han tocado con George Jones, Tammy Wynette y Pam Tillis entre otros.

The Foster Martin Band was formed in 1985 by Lyle Foster & Ray Martin who co-wrote all the songs on all three CD's (and the upcoming 4th CD). FMB is based out of Oakbank Mb, just east of Winnipeg and includes Sean Borton on lead guitar & vocals, Ray Grenier bass & vocals, Lyle Baldwin on lead vocals, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic & electric guitars, Craig Fotheringham on keyboards.
